Who We Are
​
The Gimbernat Surgical Association (GSA) was established in 2011 by a group of students interested in, or thinking about pursuing a career in surgery. Time runs so fast and now some of these students are undergoing training in different surgical specialities.
We have decided to organize an Alumni Association to develop and promote life-long links between former GSA members and current members.
The Gimbernat Alumni (GA) is the alumni organization of the Gimbernat Surgical Association. Alumni include former Gimbernat Surgical Association members, specially those who undergo a surgical specialization.
GA is a nonprofit organization with a mission that includes bringing former and current Gimbernat Surgical Association members together for educational, scientific, and profesional purposes.
All alumni members are deeply committeed to maintaining their relationships with the Gimbernat Surgical Association affiliated institutions (School of Medicine, Hospital del Mar).
In keeping with this objective, the GA holds the Annual Meeting comprising a number of presentations and lectures devoted to the field of surgery given by alumni members. There is also ample opportunity for social exchange and networking between former and current members of the Gimbernat Surgical Association
All alumni members are deeply committeed to maintaining their relationships with the Gimbernat Surgical Association affiliated institutions (School of Medicine, Hospital del Mar).
